Alaska

Alaska beckons with its rugged and untamed beauty, featuring towering glaciers, dramatic fjords, vast wilderness and abundant wildlife.

Those planning to explore The Last Frontier and head into the backcountry to see Denali National Park or the Kenai Fjords will likely end up in Anchorage at some point since it’s where the international airport is. Cycle along scenic pathways, sample reindeer sausage, then head out to explore this vast northern state.

Talkeetna is a charming hamlet in the southeastern part of the state, and its historic downtown looks like something straight out of a movie set. As the halfway point between Anchorage and Denali National Park, it’s also a popular pit stop and the gateway to outdoor thrills like whitewater rafting, dog sledding, walking on glaciers and flightseeing tours to see North America’s tallest peak up close.

Seward is the starting point for Kenai Fjords National Park, where boats sail past icy glaciers, pristine peninsulas and craggy islands giving passengers a front row seat to nature at its finest.
